4 of Wands Reversed- does the meaning change?

The little white book that came with my Rider Tarot deck says the meaning of the 4 of wands is unaltered by reversal. Do you work on this interpretation or do you have a different interpretation? I worry I'm deciding which way to read it in order to affirm what I want my deck to be telling me lol
