Damaged Deck and a bit of background

I have multiple tarot decks, but I had a main one that I used the majority of the time. It was my first deck I bought as a newbie witch. I only began practicing around 3 years ago so I'm still kind of a newb. Anyhoo, I'm part of a local tarot group that has a FB group associated. We post our daily draws and discuss all things tarot. I have been neglecting my spiritual life due to stress related to my special needs child and breaking my elbow (required surgery). As my arm starts feeling better I want to try a reading. I go to get my cards. I keep them in a velvet bag with a quartz crystal. When I pull the cards out of the bag I find they've all suffered water damage! The colors have run and the cards are all warped! At this point I'm heart broken. I feel like I've lost a friend. The deck had been on a side table. My son likely spilled something and didn't notice 😩.

So now, I don't know what to do. That was my go-to deck,the one I felt the most connected with and trusted the most. Not only do Ifeela sense of loss, but of betrayal too. Why did this happen? Is it a punishment? I know I could go buy another copy of this deck, but it wouldn't be the same. All the love and energy I had poured into this deck wouldn't be there.

So what do I do now? Like I said, I don't connect with my other decks like I did this one, but I don't want to replace it with a copy. I feel lost without it. I miss my friend.
