First deck advice

So I was looking to buy my first deck, alongside a good handbook to get into esotericism and tarot reading, but I'm puzzled by the variety. I got pretty fascinated with the Marseille Tarot by Camoin and Jodorowsky, but I've read some negative comments online basically stating that its theory is nonsense. A good alternative would be Crowley's Thoth Tarot, but then again it seems like a great deal of knowledge is required to approach it, and I can't possibly find the deck on Amazon at a reasonable price. As for the Rider-Waite-Smith deck, I don't vibe with it at all. Any advice to clear my mind?
