Four of cups and eight of wands interpretation – details below.

I submitted a job proposal today regarding the creation of a new position for myself at my place of employment. I contemplated the question "what do I need to know about the reception of the job proposal I submitted" and got the card combo listed above.

The way I interpret the eight of wands is that my job proposal will result in fast action of some sort (pretty straightforward) but I struggle to know how to interpret the four of cups. Is it indicating that I need to be wary of whether this quick action aligns with my fundamental desires/needs or is it saying that I need to make sure that I balance my emotions during potentially chaotic quick developments without becoming too emotionally removed? Or neither? Or both? Help is appreciated.
