Honest question on the validity of tarot cards by a layman

Hi everyone, I’m fairly new to the world of tarot cards and I would like to pick your brains on one of the most common objections to their legitimacy, which is the traditional “they cannot be trusted, because if you read the cards twice in a row to someone the result is going to be wildly different”.

What would you answer to this objection?

Sorry if this topic has been brought up before – I’m pretty sure it has – but I didn’t find anything in the sub (there’s a good chance that, as a non-native English speaker, I entered the wrong keywords). Feel free to delete this if redundant.

Thank you.
