How to do daily readings without watering down the answers and being too vague?

Hello thank you in advance for any replies! This is my first Reddit post so forgive me if I posted wrong.

Personally, I'm trying not to water down my practice as a beginner and ask meaningless questions because I find I get bad results unless I am really looking for guidance.

Therefore how do you all get in practice daily (specifically through self readings – as you can't always rely on others) without watering down your practice?

Has anyone had similar experiences as well? Or is it not a problem for you to consult your deck without big life questions? When I do a reading I'm looking for it to be directly applicable/ actionable to my or others lives so having vague questions so far have given me vague results.

What are you experiences? Thanks again.
