I read cards to understand my best friend’s suicide (year later) and unclear if my interpretation is correct

As I stated, my best friend died by suicide last year. I refrained from reading tarot until today, even for myself as I did not feel emotionally ready and I felt the cards would reflect this. Today I felt ready to do a quick 3 card reading and asked "what was he feeling in the days before?" I pulled 8 of wands, temperance reversed and the magician reversed (Rider Waite deck)

As I read them 8oW represents a speed up in ideas or actions, temperance in reverse is an imbalance/shits about to go downhill and magician reversed is feeling out of control of a situation

I guess I'm asking is my interpretation correct or am I being way too general?
