misinterpreting readings to be way more serious than they actually turn out to be

So recently I went to a convention and did a few readings for it weeks before. Every reading would warn me about something chaotic that was “out of human control”. It made me really worried.

Turns out it was just absurdly hot that weekend and I was constantly sweating.

Anyone else got similar stories of overestimating what actually ended up happening?
