New deck: how are you supposed to integrate reversed cards?

Just wondering what the correct way of putting reversed cards in the deck should be. I have been deciding intuitively before each reading (eg 4 cards face down I'll choose to turn upside down then put back). After each reading I find the reversed cards, put them upright and reintegrate them in the deck.

Should I be doing something else? Thanks for your help!
