Question on storing cards

I’m relatively new to tarot and am wondering if it’s okay to store my cards in a ceramic container? The box they came in has fallen apart and this container I have is really pretty. Can I store them there as is or should I wrap them in something first? Like a cloth etc. Thank you all!
