Tarot and communicating with passed loved ones

Hi y’all, i was wondering if Tarot could be used to communicate with loved ones who have passed on? Are there any risks of inviting bad energy into your environment by attempting to do this? I would love to hear stories and experiences on this if anyone has any to share.
