Why so many yes/no questions?

I’m wondering why black and white questions seem to be “trending” so hard among readers…yes vs. no, asking for specific calendar dates for things, etc. While it’s not unheard of, I’ve never understood that to be the main function or strength of tarot as a divination practice. I feel like I’m seeing a lot of questions that would be better suited to a pendulum or other means…I’m not trying to gatekeep, it genuinely confuses me a bit.

When I started practicing I was actually advised to avoid queries that were so b&w. Regardless of whether it’s “okay” to do it, I feel like even the simplest readings (single card pull, three card spread) are too rich with meaning and imagery to answer such explicit questions. Anyone else have thoughts on this?
