Wildwood deck has me lost

I have to admit, I was really attracted to this deck. So of course I bought it. Unfortunately, any book I’ve had my hands on is based on the Rider Waite deck and it’s common symbolism. The wildwood deck has quite a few cards that aren’t apart of the Rider Waite deck. They have the same numbers but different symbols so should I treat them the same? I’m extremely new to this and only found out after I tried giving myself a reading.
